No heat treatments (sauna, steam room, etc)
If possible try to relax for the rest of the day and try to drink plenty of water.
Please be aware that you may experience a "Healing Crisis Reaction" after a treatment as the body starts to go through it's own healing process. This is very normal and is a positive sign that the body has responded to the treatment and that it is starting to rebalance itself.
Typical Reactions include:
More frequent toilet visits
Increased release of mucus in the nose and mouth
Headache
Irritability
Heightened emotions (low and high)
Increased thirst
Sleepy or deeply relaxed
Slight rash as the skin rebalances itself
These reactions are all temporary and should clear within 24-48 hours. However, if your symptoms persist do not hesitate to contact me or if you really feel unwell consult your GP
FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions about Reflexology
WHAT IS REFLEXOLOGY?
Reflexology is a gentle therapy that aims to restore balance to the body. It is a scientific art based on the idea that there are zones and reflex areas in the feet which correspond to all parts of the body. It is a touch therapy applied using the thumbs and fingers to apply pressure to specific points on the feet. Each point corresponds with an internal organ, gland or other structure. The pressure allows the release of blocked energy and built up toxins. This in turn improves circulation, encourages lymphatic drainage, releases toxins, stimulates nerve endings and relaxes muscles. Reflexology is an excellent complement to traditional medical care.
